OVERVIEW:
Accomplished artist, graphics designer, writer, web designer and photographer
with over 30 years experience in newspaper and magazine production. product packaging,
logo/identity, posters, books, magazines, signage, etc. Including a solid background in
illustration, brochure design, and advertising consulting.
Computer literate in Macintosh, Windows98, FrontPage, PageMaker, PhotoShop, JavaScript
applications and other Internet applications. Particular skills in full-color magazine
production, plus experience in the re-design and start-up of publications and targeted
advertising messages for: magazines, radio, newspapers, and the internet, etc., utilizing
both traditional and digital media.
EMPLOYMENT:
January 1997 to present: Web designer for larger sites including the
Gillespie County Fair Association; Junction, Texas Chamber of Commerce and smaller
personal and commercial sites.
May 1995 to December 1998: Advertising consultant to Stonewall Chili Pepper
Company. Responsibilities included design of all labels, packaging, promotional material
and display ads for national magazines.
January 1994 - January 1999: Editor, publisher, art director for Enchanted Rock
Magazine.
January 1989 - December 1993: Art Director for The American Botanical Council,
Austin, Texas. Responsibilities included design, illustration, and photography for HerbalGram
a quarterly magazine, plus numerous brochures, pamphlets and other educational
material.
January 1985 to December 1988: The Highlander, Texas largest weekly
newspaper. Served as Llano County Editor, Burnet County Editor and Community Editor.
Responsibilities included photography and writing for news and feature articles.
June 1983-January 1985: Art Director for Highland Publishing company, Marble Falls,
Texas. Responsibilities included production and design for Texas Fish & Game;
graphic design for The Highlander.

Texas history and adventure with national distribution.
HerbalGram: A complete redesign of a sixteen-page newsletter into a
four-color magazine published for the American Botanical Council. 1990
