Fishing - The spring-fed Llano River, which runs through the city, offers some of the best fishing in the area. Lake Buchanan, which offers a portion of the eastern border of Llano County, was built in 1938 as a hydro-generating project covering 23,000 surface acres in the scenic Hill Country. Today, white bass, striped bass, largemouth bass, catfish, spotted bass, crappie and walleye attract fisherman to this lake year round. |
